I spent an unreasonable amount of time on this with a razor scraper.
Nobody will give a shit and it’ll be this bad again in a couple months. The rock rolls back down the hill.
I think I’m burnt out chef.

Add it to the weekly cleaning list. IDK, every Monday, Garde Manger or someone cleans the oven. Something like that.
Set clear expectations and manage them closely.

You put some nasty scratches in the top bar (just left of center).
You also likely took off protective coating on the glass if you used a razor on it.

Nice try OP. Clearly they are two different ovens. One opens left and one opens right.
But seriously, good job! How much time did this take?

I’m so demotivated to do stuff like this because no one cares and it means you weren’t doing prep

Yeah definitely not the same oven as others have stated…
MrTralfaz
Easiest way I found was to heat up the oven a little, hot soapy water and a thick steel scrubby. Have to wear a rubber glove because the window is hot. I never scratched the glass. Easiest way.

Keep at it Sysiphus. The cleaning never stops, but you can learn a way to make it easier.

My last place had a big turbochef conveyor oven for pizzas and I was the only one that cleaned it for 7 years. I would work there for 6 month on/off shifts around school and every time I’d come back to a 3hr scrub with the steel wool and oven cleaner, but once i was doing it every month or 2 it wasn’t so bad. I wonder how bad its gotten in a year lol

As a service tech, I love you.

Nobody will give a shit, irl or on the internet.
But do it for yourself, cause you appreciate it and can put in the hard work. At least that’s what I tell myself when I do 5 hour cleaning projects. :'(

That shit looks beautiful, chef.
