WYOMISSING, Pa. – A new restaurant in Wyomissing is blending two beloved cuisines in a way you don’t see every day.
Mary Jane’s Kitchen combines the flavors of Latin American food with the comforting traditions of Italian cooking, offering a unique fusion menu that’s already turning heads.
The restaurant is a true family business, owned and operated by twin brothers Dominic and Sebastian DiStefano, along with their father, Danny, and stepmother, Tylee. The concept, they say, has been in the works for years.
“We’ve been working on this concept for over a year now, and it’s finally come together exactly how we want it. And it’s very exciting for us,” said Dominic DiStefano, co-owner of Mary Jane’s Kitchen.
“Our father, Danny, is Italian, and our stepmother, Tylee, is Hispanic,” Dominic explained. “She’s been cooking since she was a child, and Danny has years of experience in the industry. So, we thought, what are the two types of food that people love the most? Latin and Italian.”
And the menu reflects just that.
“For our sides, we have Spanish rice, white rice, and beans. Then there’s Fiesta chicken, sweet Italian sausage and peppers, Chicken Florentine with spinach and grape tomatoes, and our hand-rolled meatballs, made fresh in the back,” said Sebastian DiStefano, co-owner of the restaurant.
And for those with a sweet tooth, the restaurant offers churros with an Italian-inspired twist.
But for the family, Mary Jane’s Kitchen is about more than just food—it’s about bringing something new to the community they call home.
“We grew up in Exeter, just down the street. Tylee and Danny are from the area too, and we love the community of Wyomissing. With so many businesses around, we knew this would be the perfect spot,” said Dominic DiStefano.
Whether you’re craving Spanish rice with Italian meatballs or a churro alongside a pastelillo, one thing is clear: Mary Jane’s Kitchen is bringing something special to Wyomissing’s food scene.
Mary Jane’s Kitchen is now open at 1816 State Hill Rd, Wyomissing, PA.
