Updated February 2025! Firehouse Subs is a fast casual sandwich shop founded by fireman for fireman-sized appetites. They dabbled for a bit in wraps, but now stick to their core menu of hot and cold subs and salads. Their menu is filled with dairy-free options, in addition to gluten-free, egg-free, and nut-free choices. Our menu guide below cover the U.S., but most of the options in Canada are the same.
Firehouse Subs Dairy-Free Menu Guide with Custom Order & Allergen Notes
This menu guide includes dairy-free menu options first, followed by custom order components. Be aware of special order requirements in parentheses () next to the menu items, and see the Heads Up notes to help fill in the blanks. Please note that this guide is for the U.S. locations. Options may vary in other countries.
Other Allergen & Dietary Notes: Firehouse Subs does not use or source any ingredients made with nuts or peanuts. All salads, salad dressings, and dairy-free meats, toppings, and condiments listed below for the sandwiches are made without gluten, except the garlic mayonnaise. They also offer gluten-free sub rolls at Firehouse Subs. All items listed below are made without egg, except the chicken noodle soup and all mayo-based or mayo-containing items (including the honey mustard, slaw, and tuna salad items). For vegan options, see the Vegan Menu Guide at the bottom of this post.

Check the cut for cheese
August 20, 2023
It’s probably just my local store, but I’m 0 for 2 with this place. They just peeled off the cheese and put Mayo on top of one, and both sandwiches I’ve ordered had cheese on the cut line, probably from a shared knife. 3 benadryl and an ice pick to the brain later, I’m swearing them off for good. McAlisters is better for me.

Need to be more aware of allergens
January 13, 2022
Certain stuff on their menu one might think doesnt have dairy has dairy such as their meatballs. Found out the hard way tonight. Luckily Im not terribly allergic. I even called out I have a dairy allergy and the employee didnt say anything about it. They also didnt change knives so I found cheese in the cut as well.
