The amount of replacement part money with new racks new stones I’ve had to spend on this thing. New smoke stack caps. I’m so glad to finally be done with this thing. It was never worth the hassle to cook on this thing.

Look into the Char-Griller Akorn. It’s made out of metal. I think it’s better for that reason.

Why not just set her in a wooden stand? Or give away on craigslist or marketplace. Thing is still ready to smoke for years to come, would be a shame to see it in a landfill.

Not that I don’t understand the frustration with the garbage stand.

When did you buy yours? I’ve had mine for five years, and have had to replace literally nothing. It’s hands down the best grill I’ve ever owned. I’m wondering if their quality control has diminished.

I bought this probably ten years ago. Two years in I had to replace the ceramic inserts under warranty. But the felt seal went bad. It molds every winter. And the grates all had to be replaced. And the smoke top broke. Considering the costs of replacing all these items it was not worth the original investment. Got it at Costco

  5. Lol the dump??? Sell it. Make some money. I’ve never seen someone so mad at a grill

When my emotional frustration wanes I’ll figure out a more productive solution. Just had to vent.
