why is this stupid? It’s one of the few good options for vegetarians they have on the menu that aren’t salads and it’s actually pretty good

recently was gonna drive thru mcdonalds but there was a chilis down the street. decided to try chillis and for $15 I got a massive burger, lots of fries, free chips/salsa, and a drink for $14. I would have spent about $16 at McDonalds. fuck McDs.

As someone that enjoys lettuce and cheese sandwiches, this is fine. That price seems high, but I’m super out of touch with McDonald’s prices.

  4. Artemus_Hackwell

At that price better be some BOCA Patties on it.

  5. Those tiny patties taste like nothing anyway. Probably not terrible.

Dont question it, and enjoy your expensive sugar bun with sauce.

1 slice of cheese with 3 slices of bread, Mac sauce and lettuce…

Anyone saying that’s a good sandwich is just trying to troll.

  8. How did they manage to squeeze 400kcal into a cheese and lettuce sandwich lmao

    $5 for a bread sandwich.
The thing you eat when you’re broke.

I’m saving this image because my dumb ass thought it was a cross stitch pattern and now I have a new project idea.

I always order a double cheese burger and nuggets

  12. then my family members wonder why i prefer IKEA food

Honestly if I’m drunk and this is the only thing I had, I’d eat 4 of them

There are people who order no patty sandwiches. My mom likes this. She eats meat but sometimes just doesn’t want it. If it is a thing people want, why not offer it on the menu?

thats crazy. I went to buy a happy meal for my kid yesterday and was blown away by the prices. For a 6 nugget happy meal it was $12aud for a 3 nugget happy meal it was $6. So they are charging $6 for 3 extra nuggets

When I was a kid in the early 90s in a small town it was difficult to find vegetarian food at restaurants. My brother became a vegetarian after realizing that cute animals were the same thing as meat when he was 4 years old. When our family would go for fast food he would always order “a burger without the burger” which was extremely confusing for the teenagers at McDonald’s etc no matter how carefully and specifically explained that he wanted a burger without everything on it but the beef patty. He would have been so thrilled if this was a known menu option!

Edit: he reminded me that he wrote a poem about his experience for school that went,
“Meany McDonald’s was mean to me
I asked for a burger without the burger
    And they laughed at me”

I used to work with an Indian dude who was vegetarian. He loved going to mcD and BK for veggie whoppers and veggie Big Macs

Hi! I started working at McDonalds in the…80s! Worked through college into the mid 90s. You would be surprised how often we would make these. To charge $5 is dumb we would do them for like .75 back in the day. Also there is a grilled cheese option too. Take a burger bun, 2 slices of cheese put them together upside down and boom grilled cheese! Some folks would ask for pickles and Mac sauce or even some lettuce and tomato. Honestly very yummy.

Better than KFC’s fucking cauliflower bun sandwich from a while back.

When I said the meat to bun ratio was bad I think the misunderstood and corrected in the wrong direction.

Edit: also, the big Mac sucks and is stupid. It’s the worst burger at McDonald’s and I’m not sure there’s a fast food burger worse than a big Mac.

  21. pdxtrader

I make my own patty and bring it to the restaurant 🍔

Is the big mac new outside of Germany? it’s been around here for a long time.

This is not a big Mac. This is just a big
