First time using a cast iron pan and making smash burgers – and I actually got a crust!
Tried both for the first time today, wasn’t expecting much… but they turned out way better than I hoped. Super crispy crust. Definitely doing this again!

    I made some last night. Cast iron griddle on my gas grill, cooked up some bacon first and used the grease for the burgers. Both my 7 year old and my wife declared they were the best burgers ever. Smashpatties with a little kosher salt sprinkled on, cheddar at the end to melt, and potato buns on top of that to dry em out a bit. Bacon, mayo and Trader Joe’s Pickle (Dill) Mustard. Super simple and super delicious.

    Amazing.. but skip the kitchen towel, get that juice in your bun and toppings!

    Delicious, use a brioche or potato bun next time, tastes way better
