The Dragonfly Lounge in Long Wyre Street is launching a new drink and food table service on Wednesday.

Guests at the lounge will be able to order pizzas, starters, cocktails, beers and spirits from restaurant Cuckoo Dough in Short Wyre Street.

All orders will be taken through an app.

Sophie Cunningham-Young, general manager at Dragonfly Lounge, said: “We’ve always believed in creating a space where people can relax, unwind, and enjoy great times with friends.

The Dragonfly Lounge opened in March after a planning application was approved to transform the former Co-Operative department store in Foundation House.

Jo Palmer-Tweed is the co-founder of the Dragonfly Lounge with Dan Deller-Thompson, the current chairman of Colchester Pride.

The venue hosts activities such as drag afternoon teas, cabaret shows, artist residencies, club nights, bingo, quizzes, parties and acts as a space for groups to host events in the daytime.
