I'd like to make some chicken katsu tonight. It's fried in about a cup of oil, and obviously I don't want to log the entire cup. How much of it actually goes into the dish so I can log it correctly?

I wonder.. maybe you can weigh the oil before cooking, and then when it’s done and cooled you can weigh it again and assume whatever oil isn’t in there anymore got absorbed into the chicken and log that?

I’ve always just logged a tablespoon of oil per serving when frying at home. I’m sure it’s not perfect but I’ve lost 33 lbs the last 7 months, so it’s gotta be close enough 🤷
