MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. — Lodging Hospitality Management has opened Basso on the Plaza at the mixed-use Westport Plaza entertainment district.
Basso on the Plaza is the sister restaurant to LHM’s Basso at The Cheshire, which opened in 2012. LHM owns both Westport Plaza and The Cheshire hotel.
Basso offers hand-crafted pizzas, wood-fired steaks and seafood. The menu also includes house-made pastas, appetizers and modern Italian items with a wide list of Italian wines and specialty cocktails.
Basso on the Plaza, located at 545 West Port Plaza Drive, had its grand opening Tuesday. The new restaurant features an open kitchen and a fireplace, as well as a large dining patio that overlooks the plaza’s new event green space. The dining room has floor-to-ceiling windows bringing in natural light. The restaurant takes up nearly 7,000 square feet of space and can seat 172 inside and 44 outside. It also offers private event space for up to 48 people.
