Smoked my first cheap roast today. (3lb)
Total cook time was just under 5hrs. 4.5 at 225 and the last 15 mins was at 500.
Took it off at 140F.
Just mixed up some salted butter, lots of minced garlic, thyme, rosemary and some pepper mixed up and coated it all and let it sit all night.
I think I maybe should have done a dry rub under the butter, but turned out pretty decent regardless.
