MasterChef Australia: Back To Win left viewers torn on Monday night.
The show broke from tradition and instead of having illustrious guest chefs step in as judges, an Aussie comedy trio turned up instead.
During an Italian cooking challenge, comedians Sooshi Mango, comprising of Melbourne comedians Joe and Carlo Salanitri and Andrew Manfre, dressed up as Italian nonnas to render their verdicts on the chef’s dishes.
But fans of the show were left unimpressed, with some slamming the episode as a ‘disaster’ and a ‘mockery’ – while others liked what they saw.
‘Like seriously, who are these guys? They’re not even funny. If we’re going there, drag Con the Fruitier out of retirement’ wrote one person on social media.

‘They’re not very funny’ one more complained and another said, ‘All for comedy, but mockery isn’t comedy.’
‘This is one of the worst things #masterchefau has ever done. A group of guys that mocks women? Surely we’re past comedy = men in dresses’ someone wrote.
‘How about next season’s #MasterChefAU having actual Italian matriarchs, instead of just three blokes in drag’ one more posted.
‘These blokes must have paid Channel 10 to be in this ep’ one viewer wrote with one more chiming in, ‘I’m always here for Italian food. But major disappointing episode.’
‘Let’s hope the rest of this weeks episode pick up after tonights disaster’ yet another commented with yet one more saying, ‘They’re so annoying’.
Others however enjoyed the show with one person writing on Instagram: ‘Absolutely loved tonight’s episode so funny, warm hearted, and fun. Thank you’.
‘Tonight it was such a lighthearted episode. I loved it’ another agreed while one more said ‘This has to be the best episode I’ve seen so far’.
Sooshi Mango regularly parody Greek and Italian culture in their various skits, playing nonnas and ‘Ethnic Dads’ in their viral videos.

It’s not the first time the comedians have irked viewers, after complaints came in during Optus’ shabby World Cup in 2018, with some slamming their comedy segment as racist.
Sooshi Mango played their roles as ‘Ethnic Dads’ and the group’s appearance was criticised by viewers who said it was ‘nearly as bad as their attempt at broadcasting the World Cup’ and ‘as funny as a prostate exam’.
The group’s appearance was intended to make light of European immigrants to Australia.
Social media users slammed the segment as being ‘racist’.
‘Being racist and sexist is not going to get you back into anyone’s good books,’ one person said.
‘You can’t manage to provide the streaming service you’ve been contracted to provide, and now you’re falling back on tired racist jokes?’
‘SBS: We’ve carefully transformed perceptions of football over decades. Optus: wog ball,’ they said.
‘This is nearly as bad as your attempt at broadcasting the cup,’ one viewer commented.
‘This is as funny as a prostate exam. Please make sure they are never allowed near the set or cameras again.’
‘This is so cringeworthy. Which idiot thought this was a good idea?’ said another.
Daily Mail Australia contacted Sooshi Mango for comment.
