Finally had a chance to try out Holy Basil in Atwater.
The Khao Soi Pasta with Braised Beef Cheek was a serious hitter. They’re using a paccheri pasta instead of a traditional noodle and serving it in an insanely good curry with braised beef cheek, and topping it with fried garlic and onion. The combination of everything creates a dish that has so much texture and flavor, it was really fantastic.
The Dungeness Crab Fried Rice is probably what they’ve become famous for and was phenomenal. They’re using multiple types of rice and serving it with this insane fish sauce on the side that adds a ton of flavor and heat to the dish.
