Melissa Maggiore Meyer, a longtime Valley restaurateur and daughter of the late culinary icon Tomaso Maggiore, has opened a new Italian dining concept in North Scottsdale, paying homage to her family’s deep roots in the restaurant industry.
Patricia’s Pizza, located at 32607 N. Scottsdale Road, officially opened its doors last month. The restaurant is named after Meyer’s mother and the Maggiore family’s first restaurant, which opened in 1969 in Garnerville, New York.
“Patricia’s Pizza is deeply personal to me,” Meyer said. “It’s a tribute to my mother and father, who built an incredible legacy for our family here in the Valley.”
The menu features Neapolitan and Sicilian square pizzas, Italian sandwiches, fresh salads and traditional dishes like baked manicotti and lasagna, all inspired by her family’s recipes. Many ingredients, including flour used for the pizzas, are imported directly from Italy.
Meyer, who has launched several successful restaurants in California and Arizona, including La Bruschetta in La Jolla and The Italian Daughter in Scottsdale, said Patricia’s Pizza continues her family’s mission of bringing authentic Italian flavors to local diners.
The restaurant spans 3,000 square feet indoors, with an additional 500-square-foot patio and an indoor-outdoor bar. A bright blue brick oven serves as the focal point of the space, which is decorated with family photos and warm touches.
Meyer was recently honored by the National Italian American Foundation for her contributions to Italian cuisine in America.
