[Music] [Applause] [Music] Fly away to the sky. Shining bright like a shadow shine very high like the stars with the We’re starting our day out with a caramel crunch. I just have a small latte. This is a great way to start our day. Hey guys, welcome back. I am parked at Costco. We are going to do a big pre-memorial day grocery shop. We’re going to go here. We’re going to go to Sam’s. We’re going to go to all of the places. And today I am doing something new and kind of fun. I plan two weeks of a menu for summer. And that menu will be in the description below along with a shopping list for Sam’s and Costco for everything I need to buy to make that menu for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks for 2 weeks. And now we are across the street at At Home to see if they have any patriotic Americana decor. It’s been a while since I have been here, so I’m excited to see what they have so we can get our house decorated for Memorial Day and Fourth of July. My daughter and I are so pleased to see summer things around the store. We were afraid we were going to walk in here and see pumpkins or something frightening like that because this year is going by way too fast. So, I love this summer furniture. This Americana decor is white. We are here. I’m looking for a little something for my house to add to our collection. My daughter is loving the pin wheel. I have the big one. Ooh, the mini one. Oh, that could look cute in my guest bathroom. Yes, it could. Guest bathroom. Yay. That’s adorable. Where would I put that flag? I need bigger ones. Oh, I like Yeah, it’s pretty. I actually like those three together. Hey, we could a little three. It’s pretty. I don’t know which one of these to get. Oh, I This one’s $30. This is pretty. What’s this? Do not know. Hannah and I have come to realize that these pots are not 50% off. They are buy one get one 50% off. That changes things a little bit. They’re a little bit pricey. I love this B sign though. I feel like I need the B sign. This is a cute little pot. It looks like ceramic, but it’s actually plastic and it is only $5.99. Much more affordable than some of the others. She has just skated everywhere in these little heelies today. This little Stitch, a doormat Stitch is everywhere because of that real life action Stitch movie coming out. These little pots, I feel like my daughter would enjoy. There is Halloween stuff down this aisle. We are just going to ignore that because it is way too soon for such things. This little pirate gnome. I was kind of making fun of it with my daughter and she was like, “We need a pirate gnome next to our pond.” And now I kind of feel like we need a pirate gnome next to our pond. All of the little outside statues. Little princess dress. Some bird seed needs to be in there. Very whimsical. Who else remembers David the gnome and loves this? Accordingly, this little blue and white pot could be good for this season. Very Americana to have. Maybe I need that. There’s so many. That’s the dog you want. And I want I want a Palmer in it. And I think it’s called a Japanese spits. Okay, that’s some serious planning, pumpkin. Yes, I need them. They’re adorable. Cute tea towels. Land of the free because of the brave. Oh, are they? That means they’re probably way cheaper. This feels like glass. It’s so pretty. So, these are Yeah, they are $10. $10. Okay. And so, buy one get one half off. These are way more affordable. I’m loving all of these blue and white vases for a little bit of an Americana touch in my entryway, but I can’t really decide. I feel like I need to look at this later and make a choices. I also just like the neutral vases. I’m enjoying this one. I think it is pretty. I like all the little neutral pieces, candle holders, little miniature vases. I feel like I need some of these. This cabin sign would be perfect for our cabin. Love that. Some more blue and white. This little plant is cute. I prefer real plants as much as I can, but every now and then, a faux plant is exactly what I need. Hannah loves the beach decor. She has a dream to own a home on the beach one day and decorate it just like this. This little blue and white vase could be subtly Americana in the right conditions. That’s cute. All right, enough playing around and looking at a 100 different flower pots for my plants. It’s on to Sam’s Club to buy the rest of our groceries on that summer menu shopping list. Love the plants here. All of the flags are out, the charcoal for all of that summer grilling, all the supplies you would need for entertaining during that summer fun. Isn’t that awesome? It’s big. It’s pastel. Oh my gosh. Um, oh, it was back. Oh, the rainbow pool. I don’t know. Really? Tell me if you see something you need to look at. I’m debating whether or not we need this to store our cat food in. It is $15. It has the little spout and then it flips up like this. The lid seems really secure. Really good price for what it is. Isn’t that cute? 250. The Botanical Essentials little watering kit. This could be good to have. All of that patriotic candy is out if you need candy. $15 more of that Archers beef jerky that I love. It is lemon berry popping boba. Well, hopping boba. Popping boba. Yay. Last quick stop. We are going to Dollar Tree. We need to pick up some patriotic craft supplies for that kidfriendly Americana craft that I have listed below in the description for you. It is something fun you can do with your kids, but it’s also easy. As a mom of six, I know sometimes easy matters. I also think it will make a really fun keepsake kind of decoration that you can use in the future. That is my plan for it. Look at these drink pouches. How fun are these? Not exactly sure how I would use these, but I am sure they have purpose and they are interesting. All the little patriotic serve. good place to buy it. They have the tablecloths. And this throw is adorable. I might need this throw. How fun that is. Just so cute. My goodness. They’re $25 for the throw and $20 for the pillow. They have all the pillows here. I love just kind of the simple navy blue and white stripe. This planter might need to come home with me. This is so much more affordable than at home. This is only $9.99 and it’s a decent size. Some of that navy blue and white. Really good for that Americana decor. Again, very affordable. I would recommend getting your pots from TJ Maxx over at home. Cute little girls dresses. Look at this. A nautical red and white stripe. And oh, these are so cute. I might need these, too. I love having little girls to dress up. They are my living baby dolls, and I love these things. All right, guys. We are home. It has been a day. My helper was just that. She was a fantastic help. I’m so thankful she was there to help me. We went to all the places, spent all of the money. I will have that total in the description as always. I think today we ended up spending about $1,200. And as I said before, in the description below, I have my menu for 2 weeks and a Sam’s Club and a Costco shopping list for those items. You probably could get all of those items at Sam’s or Costco if you just have a membership for one. But I have the menu down there. I have the shopping list down there. I even have a little shopping list for a fun patriotic craft for your children from Dollar Tree. It’s like $4 and totally cute. I’m going to share that with you. And remember, if you like things like this, put a thumbs up on it. It blesses us and it helps our channel. Let’s talk about what we bought today. All right, guys. Here’s a quick overview of the kitchen. Oh my goodness, it is full. My little girls have pulled their little farmers market over here and have been playing with it all a day, making a little Fourth of July pet store, I am told. So, that’s a bit of a mess, but lots of fun. So, we are keeping that there. That is what childhood’s all about. Let’s talk about these groceries. Okay, smoothies are on the menu. My children love smoothies in the summer, especially this one, and she definitely influenced my shop today. So, this is the best prices you can get on organic fruit is these huge frozen bags. It’s so much more affordable than buying the fresh fruit and just as good. So, I have the organic mango, the organic strawberries, the organic blueberries, and then I hadn’t seen this before. I’m sure they’ve had it, but I just don’t remember it. It’s peaches, mangoes, strawberries, and pineapple. The daybreak blend. So, that is awesome. So, we have that, too. And then we have this Mexicanstyle street corn for again planning our menu that’s down below. One of our taco Tuesdays is going to have this as a side. And then we stocked up on our pasta sauce right here. I got some frozen wild Alaskan salmon. That will make a nice dinner one night. Strawberries. Greek yogurt. I always get this spinach and I divide it up into big gallon ziplockc bags after I wash it and freeze it all separate. It stays fresh obviously forever like that and I love to add it to dinners and in my omelette in the morning for breakfast. Just things like that. It goes off a little bit faster if you keep it fresh in the fridge, but it does last a while. But I love this. It’s a fantastic buy for the price. I always get this. Two bananas for the monkeys. And then right here with my husband in mind, I got the dry salami. He loves a good meat and cheese snack, so I try to remember him in these things. Turkey wraps for some pin wheels we have coming up on the menu. And organic Mediterranean crunch salad as a side on one of our dinners. And then over here, just for fun, let’s talk about it for a second. These beautiful overpriced little cookies. So they were a little bit pricey. However, we enjoy having a 2:00 tea time. If you know what that is on Charlotte Mason homeschool style, we love this. And we are trying to incorporate now that during our 2:00 tea time, we read together for 30 minutes. And when I say together, I mean just in the same room, everyone reading their own book. So, we have read aloud time in the mornings, but this is just an independent reading time where we read together because come 2:00, we are tired and we need a tea break. So, the concept is to slow down at 2:00, have a cookie, and drink your cup of tea because I’m trying to teach my children that busyness is not what life is all about. Sometimes you have to stop and rest and enjoy your life. And I hope this is a concept that they grow up learning because that is so hard in today’s world. It is a very busy place. And then for me, I have not bought this before, but I am very excited about it. I will review it next time I do my shop because if it’s good, I will buy it again. Vital proteins, collagen peptides, grass, a fed, it says. I’m excited about this. I have been on a health journey. We will talk about this more soon. If you’re interested in stuff like that, definitely push that subscribe button because oh my, have I had got a story to tell you coming up. So, I wanted to add this to my diet and I am excited about that. So, we got that. And then back here, I have my canned meat section. We have that canned chicken, which I always get the safe catch a tuna. I love this brand. It is so safe that they even recommend that pregnant women can eat it as part of their advertising because it says every tuna is mercury tested safe. That’s why it’s called safe catch. So, I love this tuna. It tastes completely different than any other brand tuna. When you open that can, it’s white like chicken and it doesn’t even smell like tuna. It’s just good. I highly recommend it. I buy this all the time. And then with summer around the corner, we have superfruit organic freezy pops because you just got to have those for summer fun. And then for Miss Teenage A, I got these cute Loft Bike short pajama set. This is from TJ Maxx. But I just thought that was good. We got that off clearance for $3. So, yay for that. That’s her little special thing soon. I know she is sitting next to me in the school room and she probably hears this. Yay for her. So, we got that with her in mind because we love her. And then we got chocolate chips because Miss Helper over here wants to cover some of this fruit in chocolate and make a special treat for her little brother. She promised him for his birthday that she was going to do that. So, it was on our mind to do. His birthday video will be coming up soon. And by the way, those birthday videos are still rolling out. We have a lot of them. We’ll see that. And that was part of her gift to him is to make him that little treat. More coffee to keep us going if the apocalypse happens. I need coffee. It’s all I really need. I need coffee. So, I always make sure we have more than enough. I was really excited to find this because it’s organic. Usually, all they have is the organic strawberry jam. You rarely see this. I believe it’s for a limited time from what I’ve heard. So, I for that reason I went ahead and got two because I know we’re going to love it and it’s really well priced at Costco. You can see what I have going on here. Some summer grilling. I got those grass-fed beef patties. We love these. They are a staple around here. And then I loved this grill pack of cheese slices. Yay. Good to have, especially company popping in around the summer. Fabulous. This big chunk of mozzarella is a regular for me. I get this all the time. I regularly get this tomuk cheddar cheese. Got to have cheese. Nutella. I do not buy this all the time. It is a special treat for my children and they are very excited about it. I have the basil pesto coming up on the menu. This is not something I regularly buy either, but it sounded good and summery and fresh and that is what my menu is going for. I have never seen this before and it just sounded good. And again, if it’s good, you will see it back in my shops. I will let you know. Cilantro lime pasta sauce. It might be horrible and it might be in fantastic. If you’ve tried it before, comment below and let me know what you think. Was this a bad buy or a good buy? And then we got more organic maple syrup. A staple around here. The Olive Garden Italian dressing. Again, that beautiful summer menu. We love the chosen mayo. Got that regular. Back here, I have the organic pasta trio for all of those summer pasta salads. The pretzel crisp. My children enjoy these. granola bars. We try to be so healthy around here, but it is all about balance. Something I have learned is that you can’t be perfect with food because I tried. I tried to be perfect with food and it actually just created anxiety in my life. You can’t be perfect. You just can’t. It’s about doing your best and giving in sometimes. So, we have granola bars. But then we have these ancient grain probiotic granas that are organic to balance it out. Yay for us. And then we have the the sugary pancake mix, my children call it. They don’t like my protein one. I always get I usually make the protein pancakes for myself. And then I cook them this. We don’t get these often, but again, as a side to a lunch on our menu, I thought that would be a fun treat. And then up here, would you believe I’m already planning for Christmas? Yes, I am because it’s almost June and I tell you what, it’s going to be Christmas before you know it. They are putting out pumpkins at Hobby Lobby right now as we speak. And the person at Hobby Lobby told me they have Christmas trees in the back ready to come. Yes. Yes. I find this stressful. So, I bought this. And then in the same note, I went ahead and bought this. I thought this was precious and I know my littlest will really enjoy it. And it was on sale today. So, this winter this will be fantastic. Yay for us. Tortilla chips always a staple around here. Macaroni, another staple. Um, waffles, always get these. Children love them. Yay. But I actually have a patriotic flare with these again in that menu. Some fun things coming up. Putting that Americana twist, that summer twist in our menu. And then we got this cereal. We really enjoy this cereal. My children love it. They usually, we don’t have cereal often for breakfast. They usually have it as a dessert and they enjoy this one. Buns, really well priced at Costco. I always try to get them there when I can. Bread, chicken nuggets for a rainy day cuz you never know when that menu won’t work out and you need a bag of chicken nuggets. So, I got those. This was on sale. This was a fantastic buy for my teenage son. So, this is a quick silver swim set. It’s three pieces. So, there is the long sleeve quicks shirt, the short sleeve, and then the trunks. And it was all for $12.99. And I was like, that is so good for $12.99. We He didn’t even I mean, he already has one, but I thought this is a really good spare set. And I actually think this is one size bigger, so whatever. This is really good. So, we got that. We got some more laundry detergent. We were out of that. And I went ahead. I have never gotten this before. I’ll let you know how this goes as well. I went ahead and got the Armorall car wash. Oh yes. Oh yes. My children have all the summer activities coming up because I have six children. We are a family of eight and we have a large vehicle and every time I take that large vehicle to the car wash, it scratches it down the side and gives me a panic attack. So, we’re just going to have to wash it at home. And that’s okay. Good summer fun right there with bubbles. We’re just going to wash our own car. And then I heard really good reviews on this mosquito and tick repellent. It’s a little bit more natural. It has less chemicals. You can feel better about putting it on your babies. And out here in on a farm in a forest, we need this. So, I went ahead and picked this up. I have never seen this. They’ve probably had it, but I’ve never seen it. And I’ve never, to my knowledge, bought it at Costco. These are three Mrs. Myers dish soaps. They are large. They are 24 oz bottles. Really good price for what it is. the lavender, the lemon verbanana. They have this scratch and sniffs. This one is my favorite. I love lavender. And if you’re going to stand there over a bunch of dishes, it’s nice just to smell some lavender bubbles, let me tell you. So, there it is. We needed just some shampoo. We still have conditioner left. This is just a nice store brand shampoo to keep us going. So, that’s what that is. I love this as just a good protein snack. The grass-fed beef jerky Archer is a fantastic brand. They have really clean ingredients and no seed oils, which is very hard to find in jerky. So, love this. The mango habanero, it is a little bit spicy, which I like because that keeps my children away from it and I get to have a good protein snack because mom needs a few snacks, too. The broccoli fuettes to throw in the freezer. Good to have. This is another fantastic buy for my daughter that came with me, Hannah. Um, it is a Roxy swim set. Three pieces. So, we have the rash guard, the shorts, and is it three? Oh, yeah. And the little bottoms there. And this was $12.99 as well. And I was like, quicks Roxy. $12.99. And they’re gorgeous. Then I got these for myself. It’s hard to see on this video. Let’s see if I can spread them out. All right. I just thought these were cute. It’s hard to see. I like the little edge. They’re comfy. They’re just some little breathable khaki shorts. I got the medium. They were really affordable. And um again, I just thought they were cute. So yeah, for me, shorts. All right, let’s not forget I have things on the stools today. I have a very shaken up Italian salad. This is for me. I will put that in the fridge and I will eat it for lunch all week. Some shaken up macaroni. This is for Memorial Day as a side. My children will be so excited. All right, I think that is everything from Costco covered over here. Sam’s Club. Okay, let’s talk about it. We have I started to get roast chickens from my recipes. Now, in my recipes below, I do list for you to buy roast chickens, but if you want to be a little bit more organic, like I try to be, you can get your own roast chickens and roast them in the oven, and they will taste exactly the same, but a lot more expensive. So, these were $29.69. And I got two organic roast chickens, some waffle fries, and then I got these beef cubes. They were 2326. And I will be making skewers out of those one a day. Again, listed in that menu. Two packs of chicken thighs. One is for Memorial Day. One is for my summer menu. Some cubed cheese. Those will be going on skewers in a menu. Two bags of bagels. Blueberry and cinnamon. Some muffins. Yay for muffins. Teriyak sauce for a great chicken recipe. Some tortillas to make those little pin wheels I talked about. this. If you caught in one of my other grocery shops, I bought my littlest a Bluey swimsuit and they had the water shoes there today that match it. And I was like, “Oh my goodness, they match her swimsuit. We have to have them.” So, we got those. And then I only got one cuz I wanted to test it out and see how I felt about it when I got home. But they had the food grade buckets with a lids for a fantastic price. Fantastic. So, I might be going back to get more of these because I’m all for preparedness and buckets. So, I got those. I am very excited about this. We My husband brought home a pack one day, so I have already tasted it. Costco now has beef bacon over in that fresh food section by like the the soups and the kind of more fancy cheese type section. That’s where you usually can find these. But, it’s beef bacon. So, if you’re not into pork, this is fantastic. It tastes good. You cannot tell that it’s not pork. It tastes exactly like it and it is good. So, it tastes exactly like the bacon, you know, but it’s it’s just I like it. I bought three packs. So, yay. It was really good. And then I bought my husband three steaks. These were 41.87. He loves this. This is for him. Over here, I got some smoked salmon to go on toast or bagels. Again, that’s in my recipes. some premium griller kbasa. So that pulled pork, easy meal, and then right here I got some lamb. This will be for Memorial Day for the grill and some ham. My daughter and I went here for dinner and this was lovely. That’s our leftovers. And then my daughter decided she wanted to go to the thrift store, which is mommy’s love language. I love the thrift store and I love books. If you’ve been around a hot minute, you know that I love books. Look at this. I found the full set. My daughter informs me we have everyone except book one, which is going to bother me. So, my dream is to have Belle’s library for Beauty and the Beast. And so, goals, life goals. I did a quick Amazon search and this is they said wonderful things about it on all of the Amazon reviews. This series is called Miracles of Marble Cove. Apparently, it’s about four friends, four um women friends who live next to this lighthouse and miracles always happen around this lighthouse and it’s just their times together. They’re beautiful. They’re lovely from what I’ve read. They are clean and I was like this this is just it’s beautiful on my shelf. It’s a good read. I like it. And they were $1.49 each. You can’t beat that. So 149 each. We love this series. My daughter found this. These are fantastic. I highly recommend these for your young children. They are Dear America series. This one is a voyage on the Great Titanic and yep, $1.49. So that is wonderful. We also got Dr. Jeff Courageous. It was a dollar and I just love good books. And then we got Mr. Jackekal and Mr. Hyde. It was also $1.50 and I thought that would be a fun read maybe for my son. And then I saw this. I know my children, we are homeschooled. I repeat, I know my children will be excited that I found this summer 15minute a day activity books for them. My eighth grader will love that. I am sure. It was $2.49. So, for 15 minutes a day, we’re going to make Mr. Eighth grader do it. And then at TJ Maxx, we bought three things. That one thing I showed you for my teenage daughter over there for $3. And then for her, we bought this little glowing primer. She wanted to make her face a glow. And I said, “That is okay.” And it was $4.99. So, we did that. And I got this little pot for my plant. You know, if you’ve been around that I love plants. And I just I liked this one. I thought it was pretty. And it was, how much was it? It was $9.99. So, $10. It’s heavy. And I have a little succulent, one of those bubble succulents that I’m going to put in it. All right. over here at Dollar Tree. Some randomness. I picked this up to add to my Americana decor. I was like, it kind of doesn’t look like a dollar. It looks like I don’t know. I feel like it looks better in person than it does on this video, but I just liked it. So, we got that. And I got one more little pot because I always need a pot and I thought for a dollar that was a good one. My Hannah wanted this little floaty for the pool. So, we got that for her. And then like I always say, we take my husband’s truck when we do these shops and I always try to leave it better than I found it and I leave a little treat in it. So this is his little treat for his truck I will put in it. So we always try to leave it nice. And then for my little girls, I bought this Fourth of July unicorn because they have this what is it? Fourth of July pet stand going on and it needed a unicorn. I knew they would have so much fun with it. So totally worth it. I got this little thing of dollar paper towels because I forgot to buy a big paper towels at Costco or Sam’s. So, that will get me by. And then for that craft I have listed below that is so cute. $4 from Dollar Tree. We got a $125 canvas and three paints. And it’s going to be adorable and it’s going to be part of my decorations. So, all right guys, that was a mouthful. So many things. Oh my goodness. Thank you for coming along with us today. I hope you had fun shopping with us and seeing what we got today.
