MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -Wisconsinites can get a little taste of Italy in Fitchburg this weekend.

The Italian Workmen’s Club shared their heritage with the community at Festa Italia. Fest goers were greeted with traditional music and could take pasta-making classes at McKee Farms Park.

The club’s president says the 30-year tradition gives people a chance to explore Italian culture through family-friendly activities and of course enjoy some delicious Italian food.

“In our society today, people need to get connected with their past and their heritage and this allows us to do that and share it with the broader community,” Joe Tripalian, the president of the club said.

The event will reopen on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
