Decided to grow a few cherry tomatoes vertically this year and managed to repurpose an old little grill gazebo to use as a trellis. Really happy with how it’s coming along and wanted to share!

Love this! So pretty!!! So how are you cutting the leaves off of the bottom of the tomato plants? What’s your strategy?

Also, those nastirums!!! Ive planted some this year, but they are growing really slow. Got any tips for those?

My kids would each pick a chair after fighting over which kid got which color and very impatiently ask over and over again if they’re ripe enough to eat. Then when they get the go ahead they rob me of tomatoes and pay me in joy.

  5. It looks amazing!! That’s such a clever use of a grill gazebo.

Good job training them up and out using the trellis. Makes for a better use of space than letting them sprawl into the middle part of the bed; plus they are easier to pick.

Dang, I put my tomatoes out the last week of April and I’m just now getting some fruit set, even on my cherries. You’re way ahead here! They must be very happy!
