Definitely. That crock is done for and should be replaced.

This is called crazing, and is normal in ceramics over time.

I had one that crazed. I continued to use it, then one day when the crock was full of hot chile the bottom broke away from the sides. Major mess. My advice is to replace it. You will have to soon anyway. Crazing in a bowl that is not subjected to heat for hours does not have the same level of disaster.

Yes. Big problem! Replace it. Depending on the age, there was a leeching problem in the past on the chemicals (including lead) used in manufacture. Even in name brand Crockpots. If it’s cracked, replace it.

If you keep using that, it’s going to wait until you’re making the most expensive thing ever in it and then break.

Not an issue if you like ingesting tiny bits of enamel

It look likes you asked AI to make an inverse snake.

  8. That’s not a crockpot anymore, it’s a Roman mosaic.

If you can feel them with your nail, bacteria hides in those cracks, and they can’t be reached by a sponge. They can also hide if you can’t feel them. In general, dark lines on the cracks = decaying organic matter.
