Holy shit. I didn’t know BBQ could taste this good. I’ve made it my mission to try a ton of the highest rated BBQ places all around Texas over the last several years. My previous favorites were Franklin’s in Austin and Pinkerton’s in Houston. And this, frankly, blows both out of the water. I am truly in awe. Everything was spectacular but a couple surprise favorites are the turkey (never knew turkey could have this level of flavor and moisture) and the pork belly (just so fatty and juicy and insanely delicious). These are two items I’d never ordinarily order but oh my god did they blow me away. The staples: brisket, ribs, sausage, beef rib: were equally wonderful. I could not recommend this place any more highly. Is it a pain in the ass to get? Yes. But it’s worth it. I got here at 9:15 AM and was eating by noon. They have chairs and free water and shade so it’s not too bad. My advice, as a lover of all things BBQ is drop everything that you’re doing and walk, drive, or fly to try this place. 10000000/10.

Wanted to add that the pitmasters are so friendly and literally exude passion. Everybody in line gets a free sample and if you order a lot they usually throw in a freebie or two. Everything about this place was just perfect.
Their sides are also really good, but you don’t seem like a sides guy lol.
You should try out Sabar BBQ in Fort Worth. The owner used to work at Goldee’s. His turkey is insanely good. Definitely get the lamb ribs and his sausage, too.
Was it less than $200?
Looks great, and I’m digging how they gave an egg bread vs plain white.
Where is the smoke ring on that brisket? …. Jk …. Just kidding 😅
Anyone know what happened to Jirby? Is he just running Ribbees?
It’s nice that they have a bunch of chairs for those who wait before opening and usually have a cooler of water. It’s totally worth the wait, but something I’d do once a year considering I waited almost 3 hours. We enjoyed everything, and the sides really were impressive. The banana pudding and bread pudding are the best I’ve ever had!
How much?
