My poor garden has been completed neglected this season because I’m a new mom. I finally was able to get outside, and I saw these artichokes! I planted them last year, and I’d never grown them before. Can anyone offer any guidance about when I can harvest them?
Please ignore the absolute madness of the weeds, I’m working on it! ☺️

The weeds are good for insects and birds. Your artichokes seem to handle themselves.
You can harvest now! The leaves are starting to open slightly so no time to waste (though they’re beautiful flowers if you want to leave 1 or 2 for the pollinators!)
