    I don’t see anything wrong with it tbh. We eat turkey with cranberry all the time. Fruit and meat, sweet and savory go together. Add some nice bread and cheese and it’ll really be elevated.

    It’s funny that we find this weird, but if you put it on a bed of greens, added some feta or blue cheese, used the honey in a vinaigrette, and called it a salad, no one would bat an eye.

    I mean..a common way people make venison is with a berry glaze. This sounds odd, but I could see how the savory and sweet flavors would fit together.

    It’s a classic pairing.
    It’s usually in coulis or compote form, but not that weird.

    Never tried it but i think itd be good, a lot of old recipes used fruit and meat. Pemmican often had berries in it too

    Nah, savory and sweet is perfect.

    It’s like this pizza in my city. It’s called a 4 maggi. 4 fine cheeses, truffle oil, and sweet, sweet honey on top.
