Sal Kris and Charlie’s – Astoria, Queen N.Y.

I’ve been waiting to go here and post this since I joined the group!! Best shot of both that I can get before we devoured them. The sandwich on the left is a typical Italian without peppers or tomatoes (can’t have them) and the right is “the bomb” (hybrid of an Italian and American combined) with the works. These sandwiches are from Sal, Chris and Charlie’s, the sandwich, king, in Astoria, NY. Priced at a fair $19 each, you getting over a foot of stacked meats on freshly made bread. All with oil, vinegar, oregano, salt, and pepper. It felt like it was over 3 lbs of meat on there. Amazing place and used to go all the time, but since I moved, it’s a rare occurrence. If you’re looking for a sandwich place just outside of the city, this is where to go. Trust me!
