This had been posted for $150 and I was keeping an eye planning to grab it if it dropped below 100. Suddenly Thursday evening I guess the owner got tired of waiting and put it as free for pickup. Couldn’t believe my luck. Brought it home, washed it up, and it’s ready to go! Thinking I’m going to hang a few racks of ribs for the first smoke.

Check out the pit barrel community. I have the PBX and they are great for ribs. Make sure you check out the lighting process and briquettes work best. Coming from a WSM those were the two hardest things for me to get used to. I use it mainly for ribs and tri tips.

Love mine. Honestly, easier than my electric smoker

Awesome. I have one in my stable. I love it. But sadly I had to pay for it. Enjoy it.

Ribs were my first smoke of my Pit Barrel! Got rid of mine last year after 6 years

Great deal. I’ve had mine for three years and love it.

Dude what a deal, I am literally obsessed with mine and have tried so many different items.

That is exactly what it’s worth. I have five grills/smokers. Haven’t used this one in over a year, doubt I ever will again. Either way too hot or the coals keep going out.

Hands down my favorite bbq for the versatility.

I got mine for $100 after someone had it listed for $200 for several months. These are some very easy to use Grills and make great food. other than selling one to get a larger one. I don’t see why people don’t keep them.

    Awesome find!

Do yourself a favor and watch Malcom Reed’s video on the picanha he did in his PBJ…it was the reason I bought mine. None of my other cookers can recreate the flavor from the Pit Barrel when it comes to picanha…that direct heat drum flavor is magic.
