Located in the YY London building at the foot of One Canada Square, Canary Wharf will be the group’s biggest restaurant yet, with 174 covers.

The interior will have space for 90 covers while the exterior will house an additional 84 covers as well as a large outdoor bar area, with seated and standing room and a retractable roof.

It will serve the group’s Eastern Mediterranean cuisine from breakfast through to diner, with a brunch offer available on weekends until 4pm.

New to Canary Wharf will be ‘souvla and skewers’ cooked over an open-fire grill.

There will also be a Greek-focused wine list.

Founded by school friends Tas Gaitanos, Arthur Campbell, and Alex Large, Brother Marcus is named after Large’s little brother Marcus.

It opened its first location in Balham, south London, in 2016, which has since closed. The brand currently has five sites in the capital in Spitalfields Market, Angel, South Kensington, Borough Yards, and Covent Garden, which is its most recent opening.

“For years, we’ve been drawn to the idea of opening a restaurant in Canary Wharf. The energy of Billingsgate Market and the vibrant mix of professionals and residents in the area make it one of London’s most unique communities; but it never quite felt right when we viewed units before,” says Large.

“Fast forward to today, and Canary Wharf has become one of the most exciting parts of London for dining out, and our brand has developed to where we want it to be.

“What was once seen as a corporate district has transformed into a buzzing destination, with incredible restaurants, lively bars, art installations, green spaces, cinemas, and so much more. Whether you’re here to work, live, or spend the weekend exploring, the area now feels alive.

“With the arrival of the Lizzie line, Canary Wharf is more connected to London than ever. It’s no longer out of the way; it’s a place that people are drawn to for work, leisure, and everything in between.

“Now feels like the perfect moment to bring Brother Marcus to the area, just in time for summer, and to be a key part of the amazing development planned for the area in the coming months.”
