They look delicious! Yours are way ahead of mine. Mine are still little green unripe berries. I’m going to cover mine this year. The blackbirds massacred them last. I want to freeze some.

Yeah- it’s a game changer for blueberries. Once the fruit has been fully pollinated, the net has to go on. I’ve watched the blue jays “case” the bushes, waiting for berries.

lol, previous years i’ve watched my blueberries disappear before they’re even ripe. this year i wrapped my whole line of blueberries with tulle and its made a huge difference.

Bird netting is the only way I get raspberries and blueberries! I wouldn’t even plant them if I didn’t have the netting as it just wouldn’t be worth the effort.

That’s exactly what I did to mine, first year it miserbly failed because of the stupid birds, then next year we put up a chicken coop over it, and we got a lot of blueberries

We have a lot of starlings and I would have no plants past the 3” stage if I did use bird netting. It’s a game changer.

Beautiful! I can’t grow blueberries or blackberries to save my life. They never bloom and die, tired for years. Yet the rest of my garden is booming.

So jelly between both my plants I’m getting a handful of berries at best

If concerned about birds getting caught in the netting, tulle works just as well and may be cheaper.
