This plant got damaged in transit and all but one leaf fell off. I potted it up and gave it a plastic bag with holes on over it to provide some extra humidity and left it out of direct sunlight and hoped. Low and behold she has bounced back to health with some nice new growth starting to show. This one is an Aji Lemon.

I just think it's never worth giving up on a plant, they really are quite resilient little things. I'm quite proud of my little plant looking like a survivor now. I wonder what the yield shall be.

  1. Last year after hail all my plants were damaged, not single leaf was saved but after 2 weeks every plant has new set of leafs

  2. I mean, I disagree as my time and gardening space are more limited than propagaule number (generally speaking). I start 2-3x more than I need and cull like a mofo.

One year I plotted the the distribution productivity per plant- it’s was highly non-uniform. Most of my productivity came from the best 25% of plants. Try to get more of those, compost the rest.

Totally agree! Deer ravaged several tomato and pepper plants…in the condition your plant is in—I compared the tomato plants to the Charlie Brown Christmas tree. One pepper plant had every leaf eaten. I potted it up in a smaller starter pot again, and two weeks later—-green growth everywhere!!!! Never give up until you see nothing happening for weeks.

See, that’s the thing. Depends on where you live. You’ll have a zero harvest in many areas
