title! just ate them for breakfast on untoasted white sourdough bc lazy and just wanted to try them! saved half the tin for another dinner or a snack later 🙂
flavour – slightly smoky, not too much
smell – fishy! subtle though
texture – SO FIRM !!!! so fresh! expiry date is 2029 so figured it was superrrrr fresh 🙂 the sprats held together really well and i had to use quite a bit of force with the chopstick to split one in half
fish4ever so far is a super yummy brand! i’ll be ordering more of their stuff online for sure

Did the carton list a source? Fish4Ever used to catch sprats, at least the ones packed in water, off Scotland, which I very much liked. But “[m]ore recently due to stock changes and the migration of the species further North, we are seeing the supply change sporadically to the Baltic. It can vary from batch to batch.” This I like far less.[Fish4Less](https://www.organicorealfoods.com/collections/canned-fish/products/fish4ever-wild-sprats?variant=43346593513709)
Gosh they look good.
