I've very happy with the results of this harvest , and the things I've learned from the group. i can't believe as a first time gardener i have this much to show, and more on the way.i started out with seeds I had no idea what I was doing but I was hopeful and having fun. I have this community and other like it on reddit to thank for my success. I can thank you all enough for all the good information.

Last night I picked my first (somewhat small) stalk of celery to put in chicken salad. It was so fun to pick food in my backyard. 🙂 Those are nice looking cabbages.
That cabbage looks great! Perfect for some slaw or soup.
A beautiful thing to make food.
Isn’t it wonderful? YOU did that💚
Now start thinking about (planning for) your fall garden. Here in the Carolina’s, you can keep growing brassicas past thanksgiving.
Congratulations 🤗
You are going to learn a lot about cooking vegetables! Those cabbage look great, took me years to get them like that and then it’s hot or miss. What does your garden look like? Do you have raised beds?
Job well done! I’m waiting for my peas to get a bit bigger.
Growing groceries is some powerful business. Looking great
Nice dude! I am waiting for my bush beans to come in (planted kind of late). First plant I started from seed so I am extra excited to see how they turn out.
Awesome work! I kind of regret not planting cabbage this year, yours look great 🙂
Cabbage!
Woot! Love to see it! Living vicariously bc my garden hasn’t produced anything yet. I’m at 30 days from planting seedlings / starters today!
Fuck yeah man. Good growing!
This is so amazing 🥹 congratulations on the achievement.
Nice job!!! Fresh home grown veggies hit differently. They taste amazing, added with the flavor of pride of growing them ourselves 😋
Did you say first time? Jesus dude that’s a helluva first time harvest. Please keep posting updates because I’m curious to see how amazing your garden gets!
Very nice!
Really great job my dude! It’s important to enjoy the process, the fruits are just the tastiest part!
Looks delicious!! Nice job!
Love your cabbages. I planted mine late. I wonder if I’ll get a harvest
The garden is full of surprises. It’ll grow even when we don’t know what we’re doing, as long as we know enough to keep it watered. They’re an incredible thing, our patches of vegetables. Congratulations on your beautiful (and bountiful) harvest!
That looks awesome! I’m zone 7a and I’m waiting on my plants to grow. Congrats!
Once you find the rhythm of succession planting you will get a good roll of harvests. The first few harvest are rewarding. I’ve learned to plant more than I initially think, especially with peas and beans. Variety matters too. Congrats
Excellent harvest! The cabbages look gorgeous! Get yourself set up with some reusable food storage boxes so you can ditch the disposable plastic bags. The veggies “breathe” better and don’t get as limp when they aren’t in a plastic bag.
Omg those cabbage! You had a great harvest ! And it’s your first garden? Amazing
