This post is controversial, political, and/or otherwise sensitive. To help maintain the quality of discussion and protect r/KitchenConfidential from spam, trolling, and rule-breaking comments, we’ve activated In-House Mode.
Here’s what that means:
Only users with at least 100 subreddit karma can comment while this mode is on.
Comments from users below that threshold will be automatically removed.
This is a temporary measure and is applied to all high-visibility or sensitive posts.
We appreciate your understanding as we work to keep the conversation thoughtful and on-topic. Thanks for being part of the community!
I’m gonna share a little copy and paste you can use when morons try to claim the constitution doesn’t offer due process, or when they try to claim this type of force (and the use of the military on protestors) is acceptable. Steal the shit out of this, and use it as you wish. This is designed to meet Reddit’s maximum comment size, excluding this current intro.

Thank you for posting this here. Mods, I know this has nothing to do with our work but it needs to stay up. All of us cooks are a part of a bigger community. We look out for each other, especially our Latino fam. They keep this shit running. Their protection is just as important as all of ours. LA stay safe. Prayers to all of you. To all of us. Here we go again.
The woman who chose to help her did so at extreme personal risk to her own safety, as a woman of colour. Hero.

Cowards. The whole lot is rotten

I just struggle to think of any plausible reason that isn’t comically evil that this incident should have ever happened. I can fully understand that shit is tough ott it there and scary and all that but nothing about that girl gently approaching those officers warranted this response.
At all.
It must be deliberate…

She tried to talk to them like human beings. These people sold their humanity. Disgusting monsters.

My sister works in downtown LA and its videos like this that make me worry about her, not videos of the protests.
