Hi All,

Thank you for all the help before. Finally I settled for a Big Joe 2 as that seemed to make the most sense based on price/value etc.

Anyhow, I just got my package. It seemed that the delivery company did a good job, the shock sensor did not break at all, and when I opened the package I was quite impressed. It seems that even the smallest parts of the EPS was undamaged and it looked as if it would have just travelled a corner, not thousands of miles/kilometers (take your pick).

However, on the surface I see small scratches. Is this normal? It is all around and I can also feel it with my fingernail, but chatgpt told me that it is normal, only cosmetic issue and not a warranty issue. What do you think?

I also attach a picture about the inside of it just to show that everything looks very normal there:

Btw, how heavy is just the "egg"? I am not sure if I should try to lift it alone or I need 1 or 2 other people? I am comfortable up to 200 lbs, and I know that the whole thing weighs a lot more, but all the accessories etc. are quite heavy to be fair.

Totally normal. If I’m not mistaken the manual even mentions it.

    Congrats on your new grill!!

No idea if it’s normal but mine looks just like that

Don’t try and lift a Big Joe alone, I wouldn’t even attempt that with the Classic.

Also look up how to lift it, there’s some Youtube video’s on it. IIRC one person should lift it by the bottom vent while the other person does it by the hinge.
If it’s a hard place to lift it to, I would consider detaching the dome to lose some wait (also carefully look up the instructions on that).

Crazing, it’s completely normal and also asked every week it seems like.

Don’t attempt to lift the big Joe by yourself, the thing is heavy is awkward. Look into a big Joe chariot kit to move, it makes it a breeze.

It’s crazing, it’s normal. Majority of them have it. My Big Joe 2 has this too.

If you remove the lid, it should be manageable (if you do some heavy lifting), but it’s very cumbersome. If you drop, it will 100% break. Might wanna remove the lid and get some help.

    I followed this video

Build a chariot (google it) to lift it and get a friend. It’s extremely awkward to hold otherwise
