I tried the Asparagus, cheese and bacon bake again and It worked better! I used a baking sheet with a lip so I could sprinkle the cheese to the edges, as suggested. Then I cooled it and I was able to slice it into pieces ranging from a small cracker size to, yep, the size of a couple of pieces of bread. One key element is to spray the surface of the baking sheet well, even if you decide to line it with aluminum foil (then, spray the foil itself).

You can refer to the sizes in the initial post but how much you use is really up to you. I cut asparagus from the garden then just sliced it into pieces and placed it on a cookie sheet (with an edge) I’d sprayed well with cooking spray. Then place the shredded cheese of your choice on top and sprinkle with pieces of real bacon (I used Sargento mild shredded cheddar cheese and Hormel’s real pieces of bacon.). Bake at 375 degrees F for about 20 minutes. Cool and slice. Store in the refrigerator.
Sweet! Glad that worked out for you. <3
