Fontanelle Estate Reopens Luxury Hotels in Tuscany with New Culinary Experiences

As spring arrives in Tuscany, the Fontanelle Estate is excited to announce the reopening of The Club House on April 10 and Hotel Le Fontanelle on April 16. These luxury hotels, located in the heart of Chianti Classico, are set to introduce new culinary experiences for the 2025 season. Hotel Le Fontanelle’s La Colonna restaurant will offer a new menu featuring classic Italian dishes. Meanwhile, The Club House will present a fully Tuscan menu at Osteria Il Tuscanico and a gourmet selection at the Michelin-starred Il Visibilio. This season also brings new Cooking Classes, a Wine & Wellness experience, and private dining options for intimate gatherings.

Located in Castelnuovo Berardenga, Tuscany, The Club House 5*L will open its doors on April 10, followed by Hotel Le Fontanelle 5* on April 16. Both properties are owned by the Bolfo family and are part of the Fontanelle Estate brand, which includes the Vallepicciola winery. These hotels continue to enhance Chianti Classico’s reputation as a top luxury wine tourism destination. The upcoming season will focus on culinary excellence at both hotels. Guests at La Colonna restaurant will enjoy classic Italian cuisine, while The Club House will offer an authentic Tuscan dining experience at Osteria Il Tuscanico, along with fine dining at Il Visibilio.

New for 2025 are Cooking Classes for those interested in Tuscan cuisine and a Wine & Wellness package. This package combines wellness practices with experiences at the Vallepicciola winery, a 275-hectare estate with 107 hectares dedicated to Sangiovese for Chianti Classico DOCG production, along with six international grape varieties. Guests can also enjoy a private dining experience for up to 12 people, offering personalized service and a unique culinary journey.

Hotel Le Fontanelle, nestled in the Chianti Classico region, offers a peaceful retreat in the hills of Siena. This restored rural hamlet combines history and tradition, giving guests an authentic taste of Tuscany. The hotel’s accommodations feature natural materials and warm fabrics, reflecting the elegance of traditional Tuscan country homes. At La Colonna restaurant, Chef Francesco Ferrettini presents a menu of Italian classics, including Tortelli del Plin with braised meat, Vitello Tonnato with bluefin tuna, and Zuppa di Pollo with paprika croutons. The 2025 season introduces hands-on Cooking Classes, allowing guests to learn iconic Tuscan recipes.

The Club House 5*L hotel, set among vineyards and olive groves, offers a serene sanctuary where luxury meets tranquility. This adults-only hotel, restored from a historical farmhouse, provides privacy and wellbeing. This season, guests can enjoy enhanced dining at the hotel’s two restaurants, led by Chef Daniele Canella. Osteria Il Tuscanico offers a fully Tuscan menu, celebrating the land’s bounty. The menu includes seafood, legumes, seasonal vegetables, and the famous Fiorentina steak. The Club House will also host exclusive four-hands dinners at Il Visibilio, featuring guest chefs. Additionally, the hotel will offer a Wine & Wellness experience, combining fine wine and holistic wellbeing. Guests can also book a private dining experience for up to 12 people, ensuring a personalized culinary adventure.

A significant achievement this year is the independent DCA certification by Dream&Charme, awarded to both hotels under the Fontanelle Estate brand. This certification recognizes their quality and commitment to environmental sustainability. “We are proud to receive the DCA ESG Certification for our hotels,” said Phoebe Farolfi, general manager of The Club House and Hotel Le Fontanelle. “This distinction reaffirms our dedication to sustainability, a responsibility we have embraced for years. It is an honor and a motivation to share this achievement with our guests while continuing to deliver authentic luxury experiences rooted in the region and its values.”
