Breakfast meals: 3 eggs(180cal/18gP), 1 quesadilla(460cal/21gP), 4 slices oven roasted turkey breast(200cal/36gP). Calories: 840 Protein: 75grams.
I have been pushing thru eating chicken and rice, chicken and potatoes, ground beef and rice twice a day for the last 5 months. It’s just a dread now whenever I have to eat. It’s gotten to the point where I almost throw it up so I forcibly have to keep it down. Suggestions are greatly appreciated. Chicken(cooked/seasoned): 4.5oz, 180cal, 35gP. Rice: 8oz, 324cal, 6gP. (I eat almonds and cashews in between meals, I also have 2 protein smoothies of 140cal/23gP)

I mean there’s a ton of things we could suggest to make this delicious but your priority is sticking to macros and gains and etc and that’s a conflict of interest

Not to yuck anybody’s yum. But maybe talk to someone about your eating habits? Given that you have to forcibly keep down your food or else you throw it back up there’s the chance you might have developed an eating disorder.

Also: fruit and veggies. Your gut will thank you for it.

Leafy greens, herbs, and a good long look at yourself.

  4. Franklyn_Gage

Honestly, you need some greens. Sauteed some frozen spinach with lemon and garlic or even some steamed broccoli suteed with butter and chicken buillon.

You can smash them or make fries. airfry them with little or no oil.
Make a seasoning for these potatoes with a bit of oil, Mashed garlic, salt and pepper and any of these – thyme/rosemary/peri peri/oregano.

You can adjust the oil from Chicken ad add them to the potato seasoning. Chicken can be cooked with some water instead of oil. Add seasoning to the chicken when it’s almost cooked. You will not notice any difference in chicken s flavor

Slice the raw potatoes on a baking sheet and cook with a very slight cover of oil on top (using a brush) and salt. Should be better for the same calories.

Otherwise as said : mashed potatoes ?

    And yeah better :

    * add something to that (vegetable and/or sauce) ;
    * make a rotation between your meals / you can freeze if you can only cook once a week, prep double /triple and rotate

Mush the potato…add seasoning, butter and a dollop of Greek yogurt. Add a vegetable to the plate, probably broccoli or sautéed zucchini.

How’s that diet been on your body? Very conventional bro science plan. But I can’t answer your question because I have the same problem when I try to gain weight. I’ll do good for a little then start getting sick every time it’s time to eat. I guess it’s the body trying to stay at its natural weight.

Try different herbs, spices, or spice blends (cumin, paprika, garlic powder, chili, turmeric). They add flavor without extra calories. Incorporate low-calorie sauces like salsa, hot sauce, mustard, or a splash of soy sauce to your chicken and rice. Incorporate roasted vegetables, sautéed peppers, or caramelized onions to add flavor & variety. Instead of boiling or baking the same way, try grilling or stir-frying for different flavors. Drizzle a bit of olive oil or add avocado slices for richness & flavor. Switch chicken with turkey, fish, or lean beef; swap rice with quinoa, cauliflower rice, or sweet potatoes. Fresh herbs, lime juice, or pickled vegetables can brighten flavors.

Since you’re feeling sick of the current routine, small flavor tweaks can make a big difference in how appealing your meals feel. Prioritize what tastes good to you to help improve your appetite!

Are there vegetables you prefer over others? You could start by trying out different preparations of those. Or if you have a blender, how about fruit smoothies?

    Herbs, spices, chilies, citrus.

All negligible in terms of calories, and if you’re worried about sodium, mix your own spice blends without salt.

    Eat something green.

Sugar Free ketchup for the potatoes my dude

  13. RecentlyIrradiated

Herbs and spices dude. I can make several different meals with chicken and rice that taste Wildly different.
These are all Americanized flavors profiles of things I have had at restaurants and liked.
    Greek-
Google gyro seasoning & coat the chicken, you can baked, air fryer or pan cook.
Rice has lemon zest, spinach, garlic, salt pepper, fresh dill(I use so much) and chicken broth(I use low fat bc of my diet needs)
    Spanish
    Chicken-
Buy the Tampico brand Chorizo seasoning. Trust me.
Rice, beef broth( I should have said bouillon is ok) can of diced tomatoes or a few diced fresh-it lasts longer with canned, can of jalapeño if you like spicy, tsp of garlic onion & cayenne. Fresh cilantro. I use a whole bunch including slicing up the stems finely. You can use seasoning if you don’t like fresh.

Fried rice is always a great option & there are lots of recipes online that you can customize to your needs. Use day old rice & always always Always rapidly cool.
Also- look into soups people always forget soup is a great way to use leftover ingredients in your fridge and also give you a meal that is low calorie, and hydrating. I make a great roasted cauliflower parm that I blend a block of silky tofu in for protein.

  14. No sauce? Vegetables? There are so many ways to mix this up, here are some suggestions:

Sour cream and chives on the potato. Chilli sauce on the chicken. The sour cream will cool down the hotness from the chilli sauce.

Salsa on the beef, add red onion, corn and diced tomato to the rice and make some burritoes.

Skip the seasoning on the chicken, shred it instead and add mayo, cabbage, lemon juice and red onion. Use this to make tasty sandwiches with some sliced avocado.

Add milk and butter to the potatoes and mash them, salt to taste.

Add some tomato paste to the mince beef and reduce in a pot with the potatoes to make a stew. Add spinach, carrot and herbs to taste.

Plenty more you can find if you just search “chicken, beef, potato, rice recipes”.

Are you familiar with hot sauce?? Game changer if you can’t change the contents

  16. SwiftasShadows

I would have done smothered potatoes with onion. Lil more char and incorporates the chicken better.

  17. _metaladder_

I know what you mean. I absolutely hate this method of preparing chicken since its incredibly dry and impossible to swallow. I prefer cooking a 1 pot chicken and rice.

  18. destined_to_count

Peas, sweetcorn, broccoli & make the potato into mash

Or roasted veg like peppers, garlic

  19. SheddingCorporate

I swap the potato for a sweet potato. Instant win. Delicious, full of nutrients.

  20. blackcat218

You need green things. Lots of green things. Spinach, broccoli, cabbage, peppers, bok choi, pak choi, lettuce, zucchini, kale, beans, brussel sprouts, sprouts. Thats all I can think of right now, but you need green things. Eat the green things. They are good for you. Also tasty.

  21. Johnny_Gorilla

Butter and a big pile of veg – peas and sweetcorn mix maybe.

  22. 2nd-Reddit-Account

    Green vegetables

    And some kind of sauce

  23. Rachaeljaynn

I went through a phase of eating chicken, broccoli and potatoes for a good 3 months

•Chicken marinated in peri peri sauce and grilled
•Spudlite potatoes (because you can eat way more of them for far less calories) smallish cubes tossed in olive oil, paprika, salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder and roasted

When finished a little bit of peri peri mayo

  24. KawarthaDairyLover

Maybe doing more with your potato than just breaking it in half?

  25. InspectorBubbly

Bro when you can’t keep your food down you MUST check your pancreas, stomach and the rest digestive tract, that can be a huge sympyom in a lot of illnesses
