Opus One isn’t your typical Napa punch-in-the-face—way more Bordeaux in style. Earthy, leathery, aged fruit. Still drinking beautifully.

1991 Opus One was the first American wine I ever bought!

Memories! Bought in 1998 for $100-110 in local money.

Drunk around 2000-2001, same story as you,

“Great fruit, lots of smoke, deep tobacco and dark fruit, not much else, but a great wine, singleminded but not bad!”
