CINCINNATI (WKRC) – The Food and Drug Administration issued a recall for gummy vitamins sold under three different brand names after it was found that they contained a undeclared ingredient.

According to the FDA’s release, the vitamins were voluntarily recalled by their manufacturer, Vita Warehouse Corp., after laboratory testing revealed that the product contained an undeclared allergen, peanuts, making the product potentially deadly for those with serious allergies. The product specifically has “does not contain peanuts” written on its bottle.

The specific products recalled were:

Aldi Welby Vitamin B12 Energy Support gummy product 1000 mcg 140 gummiesBerkley Jensen Vitamin B12 1000 mcg 250 GummiesVitaGlobe Vitamin B12 Extra Strength 60 Gummies

Customers who are allergic to peanuts and purchased the product were advised to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund or to discard them immediately.
