“Sushi Bun” was not what I was expecting


I live in a smaller town and decided to order sushi from this place on DoorDash. There weren’t any pictures and saw “sushi bun”. Figured it would maybe be a steamed bun or maybe onigiri… I was very wrong. No where did it mention a hot dog bun. 😭

    From the description I would have expected it to be like a lobster roll type of thing or maybe similar to a bahn mi. That just looks like a hot dog bun filled with goo, I’d be so annoyed to get that. It gives the feeling of an intentional insult, like not one thing about it looks like they tried to make something good.

    Surprisingly very tasty. I tried one at a Japanese festival :). It’s noodles and other Japanese toppings on a hotdog bun lol!

    Not stupid food. Weird looking, but delicious.

    The only time I’ve ever ordered sushi on DoorDash I got painfully, violently ill, and experienced lingering effects for about six months afterwards.
