I remember a time when it was considered gauche for celebs to stoop to the level of doing commercials. They’d have to go do that shit in Japan.
But now we’re a shit society who relishes in celebrity *everywhere*, so that’s exactly what we get.

It just feels like a bad business decision for him to tie his name onto things like margarine and frozen dinners. Yes he definitely makes a lot of money off of it but it shatters that illusion of how good his food must be. When it’s pans and stoves he’s selling it makes sense because he’s selling the idea that you could cook as good as him using these things and when that doesn’t work it’s a skill issue, but with frozen dinners the message is that the product is made how Ramsay would like it and when the food doesn’t match people’s expectations, they’ll question his skill as a chef instead of their own.
