Sorry for the URGENT title, but im trying to figure out what to do:

Originally my wife was going to put it in at 6:30am this morning, but forgot (We were going to do it on low). So it got in at 10:45am. People are going to plan on eating around 5-ish. So I said put it on high.

I'm a bit worried it won't get done, since thats around 6ish hours on high. Which would be fine for a smaller piece, but this is like a 7.5lb one.

So I figure I have some options:

  1. Just wait longer (not ideal)
  2. Finish it in the oven maybe? Maybe dutch oven?
  3. Or just assume it will be ok?

Any ideas?

    Pull it out, cut into 6-8 pieces, put it back in.

    Do you have an instant pot? Pressure cooking will cook it faster.
