Was out of town for a couple of days and we had an unexpected heatwave. Damn near thought the thing was dead. A couple of hours after some watering it looked beautiful and had only lost one leaf.

I’ve literally seen this exact result happen within HOURS. I transplanted some hydro reapers yesterday, and didn’t realize I had under filled one reservoir by like 1.5mm. Just enough to dry the roots. It got dramatic super fast, added some water and 2 hours later it was like nothing even happened lol

I’ve had pepper plants that look about dead when it is time to water, and then they perk up just fine after a good drench for the next few days then repeat looking about on deaths door. I figure that if you make it so they do this the plant will want to protect it’s fruits more and make the pepper hotter. This is my theory based on nothing other than growing hot peppers and always getting hot peppers, except that one time.

My habanero is quite the drama queen also. Too much water, looks wilted. Not enough water, looks wilted. Either way she’s perked right up in the morning.
