is Pesto overpowered or is it just a green tinted stealth build for people who want to be different pesto has quietly held a spot in the upper tiers of the source meta for years It’s a no cook cold applied buff with a flavor to effort ratio that’s frankly broken Blitz a few premium ingredients and suddenly you’ve got a sauce with ridiculous synergy scaling Pastas sandwiches roast veg and even chicken builds Its mobility is unmatched It works hot cold stores well and doesn’t need active cooking time which is why it’s embraced by speedrunning play styles But the ingredient dependency is brutal Subbing in spinach or cashews does create a B tier pesto that’s completely unplayable But what is the final ranking for pesto frankly it’s an A tier proving again that the Italian server might just have the best clans in the game

  1. Good pesto is unbeatable, bad pesto is repulsive. So A is probably best. Love the stuff done right but can't do it myself without taking out a mortgage or buying it from the store. The store stuff is meh usually but if you get it from a farmers market it's immaculate.

  2. i disagree that subbing ingredients necessarily results in a worse sauce. but maybe that’s just me being used to walnuts instead of pine nuts

  3. Mate… try to add tamil language it's my mother tongue i like your video… I like to hear it on my tamil language 😊

  4. I'm italian and i do my pesto beating manually the shit out of basil, garlic and the rest. It'll be more gross but very tasty

  5. 99% of the “has to be motrar and pestle” crowd wouldn’t be able to tell the difference if given a blind sample between both

  6. Your olive bottle may look fancy but it aint extra virgin! Pesta is one of the most premium pics in game, cheaping out on any ingrediënt is a shame.

  7. I'm gonna be real, pesto is just mashed peas if it was made by pretentious assholes (pretty much all of Italian food culture to be fair) – it has a similar texture, the pine nuts do jack-shit, and adding cheese does nothing to improve the taste of grass in a sea of oil; it doesn't matter if it's made in a mortar & pestle, if it uses the freshest bullshit money can buy, you are lying if you say pesto is anything better than decent.

Also, literally every single Italian dish that is popular worldwide was invented and/or pioneered by Italian-Americans who made actually edible food on a budget instead of wasting their life savings on importing overpriced garbage.

  8. 💚💚💚
Although you should use extra virgin olive oil, parmesan and pecorino and ideally grind it with a mortar (the blender can heat up the basil and cook it)

  9. Mate, you still haven’t done “are mushy peas overpowered?” I don’t think chips are quite the same without it

  10. Yeah you can make cheap pesto by diluting it with other herbs but it is still top tier for the effort.

  11. – You don't need that much garlic, it should be basil flavored mostly.
    – You don't need salt if you combine your parmigiano reggiano with pecorino. Also buy better cheese please, that stuff looked horrible. Pesto doesn't need extra salt.
    – USE EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!
    – It will taste better with a mortar and pestle. A mortar crushes the basil, you just sliced it, you'll get no basil taste in the sauce.
    – Please don't use this sauce for your fried chicken… You don't need to combine oil with more oil. Coat a pasta with it.

  12. Appreciate your tome doing this but real pesto is another story. Again, thank you anyway for your time doing this
