The recipe I have makes 3 patties, and each patty has 120 calories, 8 grams of protein and 6 grams of fiber πŸ™‚

Ingredients:

1 cup of Kroger Canned Black beans: 220 calories

1/3 a cup of chef’s cupboard panko breadcrumbs: 67 calories

1 organic large egg: 70 calories

Seasonings which I used 1/2 a teaspoon of each: seasoning salt, black pepper, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder

The entire mixture becomes roughly 360 calories

The volume of the food after mixing shrinks. So before mixing it’s around 24 TBSP (3 tbsp of egg, 5.33 tbsp from breadcrumbs, and 16 from black beans). After mixing it becomes 12 TBSP of mixture. 360/12 gives you 30 calories per TBSP of mix.

Put 4 tbsp of mixture in a burger press with plastic wrap on it! (I got my burger press from dollar tree). Once you press the patty, wrap it in the plastic wrap.

Each patty is 120 calories, I cook mine on the grill, for half the calories in a normal burger but seriously so delicious. I hope this helps :))

Edit: The reason I wrap mine is cus I freeze them before I cook them. I forgot to mention and cant edit the post. Freeze them for 30 mins before you cook otherwise they’re going to fall apart :/

Do you mash or blend part of the black beans before mixing in the rest of the ingredients? I would imagine you don’t just stir together the black beans, breadcrumbs, and eggs to be able to get them to a texture that can make a patty.
