    If they really wanted to do a steak they would have been better to braise them. Some onions, wet them with some stock, then finish with some gravy. It may have cost more to make but there’d b less in the trash at the end of the day.

    …I’d cut one up, drown it in canned brown gravy, pour it over the instant potatoes, salt and pepper the shit out of it, and be happy. Maybe even hit it with a packet of Texas Pete.

    Making institutional food palatable requires generous use of condiments and a lowering of expectations.

    *edit* Just read that it comes with a mushroom sauce. I’d ask for extra sauce to drown it, that sounds good now.
