The worst kind.. Aphids , they suck the juice out of your leaves and cause yellowing , wash them out or squish them and maybe get neem oil if there’s alot , especially check the under side of the leaf

The kind you need to kill.

You can buy some lady bugs to clean these up right?

  6. Aphids. Good luck. I’ve tried everything and they just come right back. Most of my plants are completely bare now due to those fuckers

I got lady bugs and they did a decent job before they left. Then I checked my plant everyday and if I found a leaf with a bunch of them I just broke the whole leaf off gently and got rid of all of them. Once I had them under control I would squish them every night when I’d see one here or there. Eventually I stopped finding them.

They’re Aphids. About a year ago I had a beautiful oregano plant I purchased at a local Walmart. I took really good care of it, and it was growing fast. Unfortunately, one day I spotted a couple of Aphids on its leaves and my plant was dead within two weeks. I tried my best to get rid of them, but they took over in no time and sucked the life out of my oregano plant.

Aphids. Easily killed with mild soapy water.

    – Add 1/2 tbs of high quality dish soap, or 1 tbs of low quality dollar store dish soap, to 32 oz of water in a spray bottle.

    – Spray whole plant liberally top to bottom and underside of leaves. Then let sit for 15-20 min.

    – Take either hose with a nozzle with mist setting to fully rinse plant or use spray bottle with only water.

    – Best to do this when plants are not getting full sun.

    – The purpose of the spraying of the plants is to not only get off as much soap as possible but also to rinse away as many dead aphids. Dead aphids can look like live aphids since they barely move when alive so can be hard to tell if you have a reinfestation or not.

    – Keep eye on plants and repeat if aphids reappear.

NOTE: People will say that you can just hose them off with plain water but I find this to not be as effective and it takes more than just a mist to do properly. Just kill ’em with soapy water and rinse.

NOTE 2: Don’t waste your money on neem oil for aphids. Totally unnecessary.

As mentioned, also especially if you have other fruit/veg or garden you look after, buy ladybugs, lacewings and mantis. It’s a short (after ridding the aphids, might take a week or so, so check every day) and long term solution so fitted for long term rental and owners.

Aphids, a bit of sevin dust will get rid of them
