I’ve never had a complaint before but she texted me that she was disappointed I used navy and did a onesie. Customer sent several pictures , however, she didn’t specify she wanted EXACTLY those. I told her i use them as inspiration and don’t copy another persons work. I’m pretty sure no one at the party will think twice or complain, but i was rather shocked

Is it for a baby shower? If so, why on earth would she be upset about a onesie?

I’m so sorry, that’s so annoying! Your cookies like great. To be honest, our clients are going to be people who are the party planners and a lot of time, color pallettes will be important to them. Totally agreed that she should have specified but if they don’t, I usually ask. Otherwise, I follow inspo pics they send over because I feel like if they sent that over to you, that’s what they expect. They typically tell me “it doesnt have to be exactly like these” or they’ll circle the exact cookies they want replicated. I even had one fussy woman ask me for mockups 😑 the time that took, I should’ve charged her more haha anyway now you know to always ask about the color scheme of the party and whether you can take creative liberty or not!
