The lack of sifter is not your problem my friend, what in the hell are those noodles? Use that rolling pin. Also why did you dump them into the bag of semolina??

  2. BrianScalaweenie

Have you considered not making the noodle 2 meters thick

Lol what is a sifter going to do 😂😂😂

  4. Rimworldjobs

Honestly, you should have just made chicken noodle soup with those snakes.

  5. Look, do you want to start a war with Italy?

Because this is literally asking for it.

My first time was worse lol

As the comments have politely informed you without being mean, you have to roll the dough thinner than that. You should be able to see your finger through it. But pasta still tastes great this way, even tho it doesnt look that good

This is comically bad but A for effort 😂

Get a pasta roller instead of a sifter. You absolutely do not need to sift the flour but you do need to roll it a heck of a lot thinner and that’s honestly just kind of a pain with a rolling pin. Just get the cheapest hand-crank pasta machine you can find (unless you already have a KitchenAid stand mixer and $100+ to blow on attachments)

Check out pasta grannies on YouTube!

Hand rolling is a pain in the ass. I did it once and it turned out like this. Never again. It’s incredible how thin the dough needs to be, up to the point of being slightly translucent. That’s very hard work with a rolling pin.

  11. Try making ricotta gnocchi. It’s easy and fun. And it tastes fantastic.

Lack of flour sifter is NOT going to fix those half inch thick fucking noodles. Roll your pasta out so so so much thinner.

And if you really want that sifted flour feel, put it in a fine mesh strainer and tap it out.

  13. This is crazy work 🤣 less wine, more watching tutorials

Don’t worry, maybe your Italian ancestors were also absolutely clueless in the kitchen.

  15. MikasSlime

don’t worry about it, many people ended up creating fettuccione during their first attempts at making home made fettuccine lol

i make my pasta by hand no machine no flour sifter and it has never looked like this idk what u did it seems u didnt roll your dough thin enough

  17. IntoTheTowerNeverGo

If your ancestors coffins were bound shut by anything as thick as that ‘pasta’ you will be just fine.

  20. homelaberator

    That’s some chonky pasta.

I’m sure your ancestors ate worse, after all perfection takes time to, err, perfect.

  21. eckliptic

Pretty good first attempt for someone who has never seen what pasta is suppose to look like

  22. vinny_twoshoes

People are being unfairly vicious with the downvotes but this is the best pasta drama content I’ve seen in years
