Bold blackberry, spice, smooth tannins, and incredible balance. No decanter—just let it breathe in the glass.

Now I get the hype!

Have you tried Lytton Springs, ideally with some age? Ridge knows how to make a classic Zin…

Geyserville is my favorite of the commercially available Ridge Zins. The ATP program has a few other interesting ones including Mazzoni which is my absolute favorite of what they do…but their Zin styles run the gamut from super jammy hot Paso stuff to the more restrained Sonoma bottles. Something for everyone.

  3. I think most of their Zins are good! I really like Lytton Springs and recently had Carmichael, which no longer exists.

I love everything Ridge. I’ve got 2 of every bottle in my cellar, with the exception of Monte Bello. But I do have a 2003 MB I’m frothing to open one of these days…

Pagani Ranch is their best bottling of Zin imo. It’s one of the few they don’t have to acidify due to the cool microclimate of the vineyard as well as the blending grapes. The balance on such a big wine is truly incredible. And I think it has ruined other Zina for me as well haha.
