Thank you for your picture post to r/souvide. We want to remind everyone of Rule #5. Posts should be accompanied by something to foster discussion. A comment, a question, etc is encouraged.
If you’ve posted a picture of something you’ve prepared, please explain why in a comment so people can have some sort of conversation. Simply dropping a picture of food in the sub isn’t really fostering any discussion which is what we’re all aiming for.
Posts that are a picture with no discussion can and will be removed by the mods.
Thank you!!

Like fresh made tamales? Isn’t it the steam that Keeps the masa moist and like a tamale?
I want to know how this ends.

Science! Please post the results. I have my doubts about it’s success, but I appreciate the attempt.

I tried this with pasteles en hoja, it didn’t come out right. Made the traditional way tastes better.

I did this with some frozen ones recently. Honestly turned out fine yes they were wet but no more than when I steam them.

I tried this once. Good flavor but it was way too wet and mushy

Yeah, it is the higher temp moist heat (steam) that I suspect you’ll be finding is more conducive to a proper tamale, but I nevertheless remain interested.
