Starting lurking the sub and thought some homemade salsa would be a fun weekend activity!

    Red salsa: 1lb roma tomatoes, 3 jalapeños, 1 small white onion, half head garlic. All broiled for 15 mins. Blended w head of cilantro, juice of 1 lime, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 teaspoon pepper.

    Green Salsa: 1lb tomatillo, 2 fresh pasilla peppers, 1 small yellow onion, half head garlic. All broiled for 15 mins. Blended w head of cilantro, juice of 2 limes, some lime zest, 1.5 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp cumin.

    Green hot sauce: 4 jalapeños, 3 habaneros, a bit of garlic and onion, broiled for 15 mins. Blended w 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar, a bit of cilantro, 1/2 tsp salt, a dash of honey.

    Wait until you start making your own chips! Saves money and it is really a game-changer. I make using my own tortillas, but store-bought are fine as well. I like a slightly thicker chip, though, so I make my own tortillas.
