“Since 1925, Frank Pepe’s has been serving Connecticut’s best pizza, made with coal-fired ovens for that crispy, irresistible crust. Whether you’re a fan of the famous white clam pizza or a traditional Margherita, Frank Pepe’s will leave you craving more. A New Haven institution, indeed.”
Pepe’s, with an original location on Wooster Street, originated the New Haven-style thin crust pizza that’s both crispy and chewy thanks to special coal-fired ovens.
Pepe’s has expanded in recent years and now has 17 restaurants across the East Coast.
The Wooster Street pizzeria has earned heaps of accolades over the years, including being named the nation’s top pizzeria by The Daily Meal. It also landed on Food & Wine’s recent list of “must-visit” pizzerias across the country.
