Casa has officially opened in the centre of Shipston, and staff say the restaurant has been getting a lot of support.

Despite being home to a number of Italian restaurants over the years, from Amore to more recently Buon Gusto, the manager of Casa, Maxi Massimiliano, is spicing things up.

Mr Massimiliano said: “We opened just over a week ago.

“The first week has been ok, but we have been getting a lot of support, which is good.

“We have a few other restaurants around, so we have one in Evesham and a few in Shropshire.

“So far, people have said they like coming here.

“They like the food and they like the service.

“I like Shipston and I like the restaurant, so I’m excited.

“Wherever we have gone, we have had success.

“You give a different vibe, different food, different atmosphere, and so on, and people will return.”

The family-run business also owns Casa La Cucina Italiana on Vine Street in Evesham.

Casa in Shipston officially opened on June 14, just in time for the start of the Shipston Proms.

Mr Massimiliano added: “We’ve been wanting to open a new restaurant for a while.

“Living in Evesham, I don’t live far from here, so we know the area quite well, and I’m looking forward to welcoming more people to the restaurant.

“Our chef is well-trained in fish and meat.

“We do some nice cocktails and serve some of the best wines from Italy.

“Good drinks, good food, that’s what makes us stand out.

“We had the opportunity, a few staff, and we think we can make it work.”

Casa is currently open seven days a week and is located on New Street in Shipston.
