just wondering if this is good to use still or is it a write off & needs to be completely replaced?

Wire wheel, clean and then oil and you’ll be fine

It’s a heat plate sitting over your firepot. It’s going to rust. So is your drip tray.
This has no effect on your food.
Now, I don’t know what grill this is for, but if you don’t want rust, contact u/shawnbbqman . He makes stainless steel heat & drip pans for different grills. I’ve got a set in my Traeger and it was the best thing I did. They’re very heavy which helps even out your temps and oh, did I mention, they don’t rust.

I have the exact same smoker (Master chef grill turismo) . Mine looks the same. I just wipe it down ever so often, then use heavy duty tinfoil on top of it when smoking. Good to go. 👌

Would it be a bad idea to power wash?

Nothing wrong with it. I wrap mine in foil for easier cleanup though.

That’s fine, cook till it crumbles.

I foil cover mine for easy cleanup. You could do the same and keep cooking
It serves a functional purpose not an aesthetic one. It doesn’t matter what it looks like
